Day Four of School Visit

Day Four - 20/01/2022

The final day for students up to class 9th as from tomorrow onwards government has decided to provide online classes for them because of the rising covid cases. Students seem a little bit sad as they are going to miss their friends and school.
We reached the school by 9:00 am and then after checking temperature and sanitizing our hands we get into all the classes to see the crafts and charts made by students. Students are very much creative and skillful. They maintained their classes very well by pasting their paintings and drawings, placing plants and all.

By 9:50 am after the prayer we went on to sign the attendance. After that, we observed the class of Akhil one of our seniors who has been taking Physics class in 9 B. He taught the students about Mass using various day-to-day life examples and then made them study feather and coin experiment. He made sure that every student is clear about the concept. He tried his best to make the class effective.

After that, we went on to observe the class led by Laya one of our seniors who has been teaching English class in 8 B. She made the students recollect the previous class by asking them questions then after making sure that students understood the lesson she move on to the next paragraph of the chapter.
She made the class interactive by asking questions and giving answers to the students' queries. Her voice was audible and clear so it helps the students' to be clear with the pronunciation.

We have collected all the information and photographs that we need by today. Students were given a mid-day meal and also they were given a food kit.

Seniors and our team also helped the faculties to distribute the food and kit to the students.

After having lunch we too left the school by 1:30 pm.

Onam 2k22 @ SNGK BEd College, Pothencode

We celebrate Onam on 31st of August and 1st of September, 2022 at our college. Day 01 : On the first day, we have arranged games like musical chair, lemon and spoon race, vadamvali, sundarik pott thodal etc... We have started the day by 10 am and ended the celebration by 1:30 pm. Day 02 : On the second day, everyone wore ethnic dresses and we put athappookkalam, arranged megathiruvathira, had onam sadhya, played some games and left the college by 3:30 pm. We had lots and lots of fun. College closes for Onam vaccation on September 01, 2022 and will be reopening on September 11, 2022.

Teaching Training 2023

The third Phase of Training for Prospective teachers began on June 27th of June and ended on August 09th. As prospective teachers, we are supposed to complete 30 lesson templates which for me is about two units including six chapters. On the previous working day of training, we went to the schools and collected the portions to be taught and the timetable. With that, we have started preparing lesson templates, teaching aids, notes, etc... I was asked to complete my training at Muslim Girls Higher Secondary School, Kaniyapuram. Week 01: June 27, 2023 - June 30, 2023 Very very happy to join the school for training where I have studied from my HS to HSS. Met HM, Shajitha's teacher who taught me Malayalam during my school years. Hand over the letter from the principal to her and join for training. She asked me to meet Taresh Sir, Head of the English department, who taught me English during my school years and also was the teacher in charge of my 10th standard. Met Taresh sir and rejoice...
