World Poetry Day Celebration - English Department

The vibrant, English department of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa BEd College celebrated World Poetry Day at the English Optional class on 24 March 2022 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.

Bismina S made the poster for the event.

Dr. Salini, our dearest Principal ma'am inaugurated the event. She recited a malayalam poem as per our request. It was a great honour for us.

Vimalakumari, our former Principal joined us as per our invitation.

Dr. Dhanya, Asst. Professor of English, our dearest ma'am helped a lot for letting the event to happen...

Vandita hosted the event.

The poem recitations of skilful and talented English students were presented.

Gopika recited a malayalam poem.

Bismina S recited her own poem titled " A Tale of a Flower ".

Keerthana recited the poem "Road not Taken".

Anju recited a malayalam poem.

Our seniors recited the poem as a group.

After the recitation, Salini ma'am, Vimala ma'am, Dhanya ma'am together cut the cake. It was a happy moment for us.

Chinthita made the cake.

We ordered Biriyani and gave it to Teachers and students. It was tasty.

After that we made our guests, seniors to write their thoughts in "Your Thoughts Here" chart. This was inaugurated by our dearest Dhanya ma'am by cutting the ribbon and writing her own thought.

After that we had our fun part that is we the English department students and Dhanya ma'am made trending reel. It was a great memory for sure.

Onam 2k22 @ SNGK BEd College, Pothencode

We celebrate Onam on 31st of August and 1st of September, 2022 at our college. Day 01 : On the first day, we have arranged games like musical chair, lemon and spoon race, vadamvali, sundarik pott thodal etc... We have started the day by 10 am and ended the celebration by 1:30 pm. Day 02 : On the second day, everyone wore ethnic dresses and we put athappookkalam, arranged megathiruvathira, had onam sadhya, played some games and left the college by 3:30 pm. We had lots and lots of fun. College closes for Onam vaccation on September 01, 2022 and will be reopening on September 11, 2022.

Teaching Training 2023

The third Phase of Training for Prospective teachers began on June 27th of June and ended on August 09th. As prospective teachers, we are supposed to complete 30 lesson templates which for me is about two units including six chapters. On the previous working day of training, we went to the schools and collected the portions to be taught and the timetable. With that, we have started preparing lesson templates, teaching aids, notes, etc... I was asked to complete my training at Muslim Girls Higher Secondary School, Kaniyapuram. Week 01: June 27, 2023 - June 30, 2023 Very very happy to join the school for training where I have studied from my HS to HSS. Met HM, Shajitha's teacher who taught me Malayalam during my school years. Hand over the letter from the principal to her and join for training. She asked me to meet Taresh Sir, Head of the English department, who taught me English during my school years and also was the teacher in charge of my 10th standard. Met Taresh sir and rejoice...
