 AIRIO International Conference in association with Kerala State Higher Education Council and Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode



An International AIRIO Conference on " Innovations In Education, Research and Peace Building 2022
was conducted on May 26th and 27th of 2022 in Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode, in association with Kerala State Higher Education Council. The Conference was set to create a Global platform for Educational Researchers, Academicians, Policy- makers, Teachers, and Students to share experiences, discuss research findings and acquire the desired knowledge in the subject from around the World.
The Conference highlights the presentation of New Trends, Advances, and Innovations in all areas of Education and research. This venture brings together leading Professionals, Academicians, and Universities from around the world.
Papers were invited covering many areas including,

The Seminar was held at the College auditorium. The Registration process started at 9.30 am with the registration of Dr.V Raghu, Dr. M.S Geetha, Dr. G Valsala, Dr. Rajeshwari and other dignitaries.  At 10.46 am, Honourable Minister of Road Transport Motor Vehicles, Water Transport Adv. Antony Raju arrived, following him Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapswi arrived by 10.54 a.

    We began the inaugural ceremony with a prayer song sung by the college cholir, followed by a welcome speech delivered by our respected Principal Dr. Salini S. Ma’am welcomed all the faculties, members, chief-guest and all the participants.

    At 11.05 am, we called upon Dr. V. Raghu (AIRIO National President, former Controller and Dean, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development) to have the introductory talk. Sir gave am informative talk about Research, the hack of Research contributions based on the GDP ratio.  He briefly explained the Importance of Peace Education, Education for sustainable development, and cultivation of peace Education in Schools and also stressed on the peace pedagogy as a new Emerging concept. At 11.18 am, the inaugural address was given by the Minister Antony Raju, in which he remarked about the current Ukrane-Russia scenario of unrest world.  He also coined a Quote of APJ Abdul Kalam that he Education os the most powerful weapon to change the world and humans can change the world through Education.  He also shared the Importance of Innovation in Education and Initiatives of chief Minister Sri Pinarayi Vijayan in Government schools.

    At 11.30 am Swami Gururathnam Jnan Tapaswi blessed us with his divine speech.  Swami gave a brief description of the colonial culture in India and the Modern Education system prevailing here.  Followed by the arrival of Father Rev Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas.

    At 11.40 am Nirmalanandhan (The Manager of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa College) and our Principal Salini S was invited to felicitate the honorable Minister Sri Antony Raju, as a token of love and gratitude.

Dr. Ragji amd Rev Father Joseph Mar Thomas felicitated Swamiji which was followed by the presidential address delivered by the Captain of the Ship. Rev Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas[ President of AIRIO Global], he shared the vision of AIRIO in preserving, promoting knowledge in the areas of Education.  He remarked about the Innovative Educational strategies which brings sustainable peace.

    At 11.50 am Dr. K.Y Benedict [Principal, Mar Theophilus Training College] was invited to the dais to speak about the changes in Education, Research and Innovations and also about peace building and harmony. He also spoke about the excellence of father Joseph Mar Thomas in the field of Research and his contributions for maintaining peace.  Benedict Sir gave an inspiring review of the beloved bishop.

    At 12.00 pm Sri Varghese Cheriyan, Sri Benedict, Smt Geetha, Sri Anil Kumar, Sri Vinod, Smt Rajeshwari and Sri Issac Paul was invited on to the dais to honour and felicitate Rev. Father Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas. Smt. Lavina Dominic (St Thomas College Pala) felicitated Dr. Asha A.K who was also the host of the day.

    At 12.07, Award Ceremony function began . Dr. Varkey Attupurath ( Vice President AIRIO Global) was invited for the declaration of Award.

    Dr. Varghese Cheriyan, Prof Jibi Gee Varghese, Dr. Rajeshwari K was awarded the Guru Shreshta Award. Chanchal Abraham, Baby Shabia, Dr. Rangini U, Dr. Lakshmi, Dr. Shena Bijukumar, Elizabeth Samuel was awarded for the best Thesis.  Arts and Science College for the year 2020 Dada Vaidya College, Goa for the year 2020 and St. Thomas College Pala for the year 2021.  Dr. Maya was given the outstanding Teacher Education Award and Dr. Issac Paul for Inspiring Teacher Award.  Followed by AIRIO Newsletter release at 12.19 pm by Dr. Ancy K.S and Smt. Neena Thomas. Dr. Jojon Mathew (Head of Department, Dada Vaidya College of Education) deliver the felicitation address.  He shared the new pattern of Education system and coined the phrase produce only barbarian if it is without following the felicitation address, Rev. Msgr Dr.  Varkey Attupurath (Vice President, AIRIO Global) was invited to make the felicitation speech, gave an informative talk about AIRIO and its networking.  A few more awards were given for Phd. Scholars at 12.36 pm.  AIRIO appreciated and honoured four more people on dais and Dr. Raghu, Dr. M.S Geetha, Dr. K.Y. Benedict and Varkey Attupurath was given a token of appreciation from AIRIO team.  Here, we are coming to the finale of Inaugural session with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. M.S Geetha, coming to the end of the session.  Rev. Father Joseph Mar Thoma honoured Nirmalanandhan and Dr. Salini S.  Morning session ended with the National Anthem and all the teachers and dignitaries proceeded for the business need at 1 pm.  Paper presentation session began just after the lunch break in the allotted Monte Mirage, Vocal Arena hall, Zennova Hall.  At 4.45 pm the cultural events began.  The programme staged were refreshing the events of the day- long programmes included Group song, Group dance, Tablo. The cultural program came to an end by 6.00 pm.  We all enjoyed every bit of the programme and it all went as meticulous as we planned.


May 27, 2022

The second day of the AIRIO International Conference in association with Kerala State Higher Education Council and Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College begins at 9:00 am. Registration of participants and paper presenters starts at 9:30 am. Followed by the registration, two parallel sessions started at 10:50 am.










Paper presentations were hosted at two Venues; Monte Mirage and Vocal Arena. 25 academicians, research scholars, teachers, and students of various educational institutions presented their papers. As the Conference was open to all, scholars from various districts of Kerala, various States of India, and a research scholar from Afghanistan attended the event. The panelists for the paper presentation of the Venue; Monte Mirage were Dr.Valsala, and Dr.Maya, and the panelists of the Venue; Vocal Arena was Dr.M.S.Geetha.

It was indeed a prestigious moment that a total of 47 people presented their papers at the two-day Conference. As we conducted paper presentations in hybrid mode; many resource people from various countries and states presented their papers online as well.

Interaction with Joby Balakrishnan, NCTE Member, and Managers of various Teacher Education Colleges was conducted at the Open House Venue. During the interactive sessions, the managers and NCTE member had discussions on various topics in order to improve the infrastructure of Teacher Education Institutions and also about the incorporation of innovations in Education. 

By 12:25 pm, the parallel sessions had come to an end. And by 12:27 pm, Valedictory Meeting began at Zennova. The Valedictory meeting started with the prayer. College Choir recited the prayer. Dr. Joju John, Associate Professor, Mar Theophilus Training College, Nalanchira delivered the Welcome Speech. His speech begins with the quote of Mother Teresa, “ Peace begins with a smile”.Then he uttered the importance of peace education in the school education system. He then warmly welcomed all the delegates to the event. Dr. Y.V.N. Krishnamurthy, Registrar, Indian Institute of Space and Technology, Valiyamala inaugurated the event. He started his words with appreciation to Dr.Salini, The Principal of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode. His inaugural speech reflected his views on Education, and the possibilities of the inclusion of innovations in the education system and he made the audience think about the need to understand individual differences while teaching. Followed by his thought-provoking speech, Dr.Salini, Principal, and Nirmalanandan, Manager, of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode gave a token of love and gratitude to Dr. Y.V.N. Krishnamurthy. Sri. Joby Balakrishnan, NCTE Member presented the theme. He started with National Education Policy. He said that NEP isn’t against democracy and it didn’t promote Communalism. He spoke about the views of various Educational thinkers. He elaborated his view on Peacebuilding in Education. After his inspiring speech, Principal and Manager of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode gave momentum as a token of love to Sri.Joby Balakrishnan. Followed by the theme presentation, the Valedictory message was shared by Dr.Valsala. She appreciated the effort put forward by the students, teachers, manager, and principal of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode, and AIRIO for making the event come into reality. She shared her wishes and blessings to all who are into bringing and executing innovations in the Education system. Dr.M.S. Geetha shared her experience got from AIRIO International Conference. She appreciated the organizers for the hospitality they gave to all the delegates.

Followed by that Thiruvananthapuram Education Declaration 2022 was released by Dr.V.Reghu, AIRIO National President. Mr. Fazil Ahmad Faizy, Research Scholar from Afghanistan shared his experience. He has presented his paper on “The Importance of Utilizing Educational Technology in Teaching Speaking Skills in the English Language.”He then conveyed his gratitude to The Principal, Manager, and all the Organizers of the International Conference. Followed by that Ms. Bismina S, University Union Counsellor of Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College Union was invited to share her experience. She is the representative of all the students of the College who shared the efforts and experience they have done for making the event a grand success. She shared her gratitude and respect for the Principal for giving this great opportunity to students. She presented the paper “ A Study on the Attitude of Teachers in regards to the Need to Incorporate Peace Education in School Education System”. She thank the organizers and concluded the speech by saying that all the students are looking forward to more such events. Finally, Prof.(Dr) Giby Geevarughese, Professor, Mar Theophilus College, Nalanchira delivered the Vote of Thanks to all those who participates in the event. In between AIRIO team has given the best performer award to Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College. The Manager, Principal, and all the teachers received the award from Dr. Y.V.N. Krishnamurthy representing the whole college. Prof.(Dr) Giby Geevarughese shared her gratitude to all on behalf of AIRIO for making the dream come true. The Valedictory Meeting ends by 2:45 pm with the National Anthem.

Thiruvananthapuram Education

al Declaration 2022


An International Conference was organized by Sree Narayana Guru Kripa B.Ed College, Pothencode, Trivandrum in collaboration with the Association of International Researchers of Indian Origin (AIRIO Global) and Kerala Higher Education Council from 26th to 27th of May 2022. The Conference was attended by delegates from different parts of India and abroad representing Universities, Colleges, Teacher Education Institutions and Non - Governmental Organizations. The Conference seriously discussed different aspects of innovations in education, research and peacebuilding.

Based on the academic deliberations, the members of the conference unanimously accepted the following which will be known as the “ Thiruvananthapuram Educational Declaration 2022”.


1. Innovations are necessary for teaching and learning which may be incorporated into the teacher education curriculum as per New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

2. Innovative Programmes conducted by different Colleges and Educational Institutions may be collected and documented for future applications.

3. Institutions like NCERT, SCERT, DIET, SIEMAT etc may take lead in recording the innovations in the field of Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary education levels.

4. University departments of education may be directed to support the above programmes which will strengthen the ‘national building process’.

5. Research in education is an unavoidable part of the current educational scenario. All Higher Education Institutions may be directed to organize research programmes to strengthen the

educational scenario. Every qualified teacher in research programmes in tune with NEP 2020 may be supported with financial resources to conduct innovations and research. Specific research orientation programmes and training programmes may be organized by Universities, SCERTs and other research organizations to strengthen the research scenario in the country. A strong support system, including financial support, may be developed by Central Government, State Governments to empower the research programmes in the country.

6. Research publications and other related materials may be published in English and National languages at specific intervals to share the research information with the beneficiaries.

7. Research areas including research priorities may be fixed sufficiently earlier by identifying the specific educational needs of the society. It will help to streamline research programmes in a scientific and systematic fashion for the benefit of society.

8.  We plead with the Govt of Kerala that provision may be given for Self Financing College teachers to do research at the University of Kerala, as in the case of normal students.

9.  Permission may be granted to faculty members of Self Financing Colleges to become Research Supervisor in the different Universities in Kerala.

10. Peace education programmes are not properly organized systematically in our education system. Peace education may be introduced from Pre-Primary to Higher Education adopting appropriate methodology aiming at strengthening the process of conflict resolution and co-existence. Necessary and urgent steps may be taken by the education system in our country to implement peace education or peacebuilding programmes to save the younger generation from violence. The philosophy of non-violence, unity in diversity etc. may be encouraged by every governmental agency involved in the process of education.

May request the government authorities to take positive steps to study and implement the “Thiruvananthapuram Educational Declaration 2022” for the benefit of the members of the society.

Onam 2k22 @ SNGK BEd College, Pothencode

We celebrate Onam on 31st of August and 1st of September, 2022 at our college. Day 01 : On the first day, we have arranged games like musical chair, lemon and spoon race, vadamvali, sundarik pott thodal etc... We have started the day by 10 am and ended the celebration by 1:30 pm. Day 02 : On the second day, everyone wore ethnic dresses and we put athappookkalam, arranged megathiruvathira, had onam sadhya, played some games and left the college by 3:30 pm. We had lots and lots of fun. College closes for Onam vaccation on September 01, 2022 and will be reopening on September 11, 2022.

Teaching Training 2023

The third Phase of Training for Prospective teachers began on June 27th of June and ended on August 09th. As prospective teachers, we are supposed to complete 30 lesson templates which for me is about two units including six chapters. On the previous working day of training, we went to the schools and collected the portions to be taught and the timetable. With that, we have started preparing lesson templates, teaching aids, notes, etc... I was asked to complete my training at Muslim Girls Higher Secondary School, Kaniyapuram. Week 01: June 27, 2023 - June 30, 2023 Very very happy to join the school for training where I have studied from my HS to HSS. Met HM, Shajitha's teacher who taught me Malayalam during my school years. Hand over the letter from the principal to her and join for training. She asked me to meet Taresh Sir, Head of the English department, who taught me English during my school years and also was the teacher in charge of my 10th standard. Met Taresh sir and rejoice...
