Criticism - Semester 01

As a part of Semester One activities, I have taken a lesson before my peer. I have taken a poem from Class VIII coursebook, that is " From a Railway Carriage" by "Robert Louis Stevenson". I have used various teaching learning resources like, Blackboard and chalk, Chart paper for showing the profile of the poet, photographs of the images mentioned in the poem, mobile phone and bluetooth speaker for playing recitation of the poem.

Got much appreciation for the teaching process.

Following are the positive feedback I got from the Supervisor, Dr. Dhanya CS ma'am and my peer group.,

1. Have a loud and audible voice.

2. Have a pleasant and fresh face.

3. Made good rapport with the students through informal interaction.

4. Handwriting was good and readable.

5. Made the class interesting through the usage of needed teaching -learning resources.

Following are the negative feedback I got, which I need to work up on for improving effectiveness of teaching-learning process,

1. Teacher missed to write glossary terms on blackboard.

2. Teacher hasn't invited a student to read the profile of poet.

Onam 2k22 @ SNGK BEd College, Pothencode

We celebrate Onam on 31st of August and 1st of September, 2022 at our college. Day 01 : On the first day, we have arranged games like musical chair, lemon and spoon race, vadamvali, sundarik pott thodal etc... We have started the day by 10 am and ended the celebration by 1:30 pm. Day 02 : On the second day, everyone wore ethnic dresses and we put athappookkalam, arranged megathiruvathira, had onam sadhya, played some games and left the college by 3:30 pm. We had lots and lots of fun. College closes for Onam vaccation on September 01, 2022 and will be reopening on September 11, 2022.

Teaching Training 2023

The third Phase of Training for Prospective teachers began on June 27th of June and ended on August 09th. As prospective teachers, we are supposed to complete 30 lesson templates which for me is about two units including six chapters. On the previous working day of training, we went to the schools and collected the portions to be taught and the timetable. With that, we have started preparing lesson templates, teaching aids, notes, etc... I was asked to complete my training at Muslim Girls Higher Secondary School, Kaniyapuram. Week 01: June 27, 2023 - June 30, 2023 Very very happy to join the school for training where I have studied from my HS to HSS. Met HM, Shajitha's teacher who taught me Malayalam during my school years. Hand over the letter from the principal to her and join for training. She asked me to meet Taresh Sir, Head of the English department, who taught me English during my school years and also was the teacher in charge of my 10th standard. Met Taresh sir and rejoice...
